What a wonderful way to spend a scorching summer afternoon!

On Saturday 25 January the Hellenic Community Choir had a great get-together to celebrate the New Year and to plan our singing schedule for the year ahead. 

We all gathered under the cool shady trees in the beautiful garden of Stella Ghioules, one of our choir members, and were treated to a decadent tea time spread while we chatted and listened to some beloved Greek traditional songs we intend to perform this year. 

 It was a fun, relaxed and soothing afternoon with good friends who share a common love for singing and a real community spirit. 

 A very big thank you to Stella for hosting us and special thanks to our Choir Mistress Effie Saridakis and our superb accompanist Anre Uys for always being there to encourage us to sing our hearts out. 

 We hope and pray we are blessed this year as we practice and prepare for upcoming events with vocal chords that are primed to perfection! Love from all of us to all of you.
